Accessibility Statement
AccessibleMe is committed to making this website accessible to everyone. This statement explains our commitment, what we've done, what we know still needs doing, and how to contact us if you experience any barriers.
Last reviewed: March 2026
✓ This site is designed to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. An independent audit is planned and will be documented here when complete. We are not aware of any part of this site that fails to meet the standard at the time of publication.
Our commitment
Accessibility is not an afterthought here — it is the foundation of everything we build and recommend. This website is intentionally built to the same standard we deliver for clients, and we treat it as a live demonstration of what good looks like.
We are committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring that as many people as possible can use this site — regardless of disability, neurodivergence, or mental health need.
Technical information
This website is built using semantic HTML5, with CSS and vanilla JavaScript. We do not use frameworks that generate inaccessible markup. All JavaScript is progressive enhancement — the site is functional without JS enabled.
We have tested this site using:
- NVDA screen reader with Firefox (Windows)
- VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS)
- TalkBack with Chrome (Android)
- Keyboard-only navigation across all pages
- axe DevTools browser extension
- Colour Contrast Analyser across all colour modes
- Browser zoom to 200% and 400%
User-controlled accessibility features
The green toolbar at the top of every page provides the following controls, all of which are saved to your browser's local storage so your preferences persist across visits:
| Control | What it does | WCAG |
|---|---|---|
| ⬛ High Contrast | Black background, white text, high-contrast link and button colours | 1.4.6 |
| 🟡 Yellow/Black | Yellow text on black — recommended by RNIB for some low-vision users | 1.4.6 |
| 🌙 Dark Mode | Low-luminance dark theme reducing eye strain in low-light environments | 1.4.3 |
| A+ Text | Increases font size by approximately 20% without breaking layout | 1.4.4 |

| 𝐀 Readable Font | Switches to a plainer, highly legible sans-serif typeface (Arial/Verdana) | 1.4.4 |
| ⏸ Reduce Motion | Disables all CSS animations and transitions; also responds to OS prefers-reduced-motion setting | 2.3.3 |
Known issues and limitations
We are not aware of any current issues that prevent full access to the site's content or functions. However:
- An independent WCAG 2.2 Level AA audit is planned but not yet completed. This statement will be updated when audit results are available.
- Third-party embeds (e.g. video platforms or booking tools) may not be fully within our control. We choose third-party tools with accessibility in mind wherever possible.
