Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2025
The short version: This website uses only essential, functional storage — no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics. Your preferences stay in your browser only.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites can store on your device. They're used for a range of purposes — from keeping you logged in to tracking your behaviour across the web. This policy explains how we use them.
In addition to traditional cookies, some websites (including this one) use localStorage — a similar browser-based storage mechanism. We use this rather than cookies for some purposes because it's simpler and doesn't transmit data to our server.
What we use and why

What we don't use
We do not use:
- Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics platform
- Facebook Pixel or any advertising tracking
- Session recording tools (e.g. Hotjar, FullStory)
- Social media widgets that track you
- Any cookie or storage item not listed above
How to manage or delete cookies
Since we use localStorage rather than traditional cookies, you can clear our stored preferences in your browser's developer tools or by clearing your browser's site data. Here's how in major browsers:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files / Site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Note that clearing this data will reset your accessibility preferences — your contrast mode, text size, and font choices will return to default on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if we change how we use browser storage on this site. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
